Ski boots or hiking boots? You do not even need the car for your active day here; it all starts right outside the door. In every season.

Hit the slopes

We are located at the foot of Kronplatz, South Tyrol’s No. 1 ski mountain, with more than one hundred kilometres of slopes for every level and a different view of the South Tyrolean mountains from each run. The valley station is just 800 metres from our residence, around ten minutes on foot. Even easier is the ski bus, which runs every 30 minutes and takes you straight to the lift in just one minute, so your car can stay in the garage. You also receive a 15% discount on equipment at our partner ski rental. Not far away are Alta Badia with access to the Sella Ronda, the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski area, as well as Speikboden and Klausberg in the Ahrntal Valley if you would like to explore even more slopes.

Cross-country skiing

Cross-country skiers are well catered for too: 23 trails with around 300 kilometres of groomed tracks run through the valley and its side valleys, plus a dedicated biathlon arena with 60 kilometres of trails for those who like a sportier pace. The cross-country trail in Riscone is even free for you.

A quieter side of winter

Those who prefer a gentler pace will find plenty to enjoy too: winter hiking trails, snowshoe tours and ski tours wind through the snowy landscape around Riscone, with cosy mountain huts inviting you to stop along the way. You will also find tips in our in-house hiking folder.

More than 30 toboggan runs add plenty of excitement away from the ski slopes
You can ice-skate on the rink in Riscone free of charge. For something larger, head to the Intercable Arena in Brunico
After a day in the snow and cold, warm up in our own sauna or in the large sauna area at Cron4, right here in Riscone

Out into nature

In summer, swap your ski boots for hiking boots. Around Riscone, trails for every taste await, from easy walks to summit tours. If you prefer to stay away from the tourist hotspots, you will find our own hiking folder with favourite route tips, plus free hiking maps at the residence.

Get on your bike

The Pustertal cycle path runs through Brunico, just 3 km from us. From there it continues to Bressanone or Lienz, or towards the Ahrntal Valley, with countless other cycling routes in the surrounding area. For more adrenaline, the Kronplatz Bike Park offers a range of trails. You can also borrow mountain bikes from us free of charge.

Summer, sunshine & more

An indoor pool with an outdoor area is located right in Riscone, with additional outdoor pools and swimming lakes in the surrounding area
Tennis or padel? Several courts are available in the Riscone sports area
There is also a riding stable right in Riscone
A high ropes course and a maize maze are also waiting nearby
